1 How do I tell if my car uses R134a or R1234yf?
Check the under-hood A/C refrigerant label or the vehicle service manual. Vehicle age alone is not a reliable guide; do not mix the two gases.
2 Can I put R134a in a car labeled R1234yf?
No. They have different requirements and service connections. An adapter does not make the substitution safe or approved.
3 Why won't my charging coupler fit the cylinder?
Vehicle service ports and bulk-cylinder valves may use different fittings. Confirm the outlet, hose, coupler and approved adapter before purchase; never force a connection.
4 Do you have small R134a cylinders for one car?
Freonwell lists 5 lb and 30 lb R134a options. The correct quantity depends on the vehicle's specified charge and repair; have a technician confirm.
5 Is the 11 lb R1234yf cylinder suitable for my shop?
It may suit a shop equipped for R1234yf A2L servicing. Verify cylinder connection, net fill, current stock and any purchase requirements before ordering.
6 Can I mix leftover R134a with R1234yf?
No. Mixing contaminates the system and complicates safe recovery and service. Use the exact specified gas and compatible dedicated equipment.
7 How much is shipping for automotive refrigerant?
Freonwell currently lists $30 standard shipping per cylinder and generally dispatches within 24 business hours from the U.S. Check the ZIP estimator and final checkout total.
8 Can I return the wrong automotive refrigerant?
Contact support immediately and keep the cylinder unopened. Return requests must follow the published 30-day process and require approval for regulated goods.
